Senior Portrait

Jessica became my senior rep for Alexander High School by a total God act.  I just happened to be chatting with an employee at my vet’s office about how I was looking for seniors to be a representative for my business when she told me that they had just taken a senior intern and “you have to photograph her!  She’s beautiful!”  Well, that was an understatement.  I got in touch with Jessica and we set up her session.  She and her mom thought going to Berry College (where her mom graduated) would be sentimental and also just a perfect fall location.  Again, total understatement.  Berry College has a campus that is incredibly gorgeous.  I kept saying “I can’t believe these buildings are in Georgia!”

I spent an afternoon photographing Jessica and getting to know her and her mom.  They are the nicest people you could ever meet and have totally stolen my heart.  I just feel like I’ve known them forever.  I love that we photographed Jessica’s session at Berry (she recently received an acceptance letter to Berry herself) and even did a few shots inside of the chapel where her mom and dad were married.  How precious!!!

Jessica is such a fun young lady.  We laughed so much that day.  I literally photographed her for over four hours, and it felt like no time had past at all.  Jessica plan to major in animal science and go to vet school.  A girl after my own heart!   You all know I love my fur kids!

Jessica’s favorite scripture is:  As for me, I know my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the Earth. -Job 19:25   Jessica, my prayer for you is that, like Job, in times of heartache and loss you always seek for God’s restoration, and that your confidence in your Redeemer remains strong all the days of your life.  So much so that no one can know you without desiring to know Him.  It was my absolute pleasure to photograph you, and my blessing to know you and your sweet family.

Taylor is my senior representative for Telfair County High School.  I will say right off, if you haven’t had your senior portraits done and you know Taylor just mention that and you’ll automatically get $25 off of your session!

This session was truly sentimental.  When his mom booked his session, she mentioned that Taylor had been very close with his grandparents who passed away last year within months of each other.  Taylor’s family now lives at his grandparent’s former home and farm land.  So, the location alone pays tribute to his grandparents.  However, they had a few more ideas for honoring his beloved grandparents during the session.  I think that doing that will make Taylor treasure these images even more in the years to come.

Taylor likes to go four wheeler riding, mud bogging, and he collects model farm equipment.  He also enjoys listening to country music and southern rock.  He even made mention of the Allman Brothers.  Good taste!  My all time favorite song is Midnight Rider, therefore I declare you have superior taste in music, Taylor!

Interesting fact about Taylor:  He’s a published artist and loves to draw farm equipment and big trucks.

How precious that Taylor used his grandmother’s Bible during his session.

This is Taylor’s grandfather’s tractor and cane as well as a photograph of his grandparents.

Family heirlooms are precious objects, and Taylor has his grandfathers watch and knife to treasure and pass on.

Taylor says that the best thing that ever happened to him is finding his Savior Jesus at a young age.  AMEN, Taylor!

One of Taylor’s favorite quotes:  “If it looks good, you’ll see it.  If it sounds good, you’ll hear it.  If it’s marked right, you will buy it, but if it’s real you will feel it.” – Kidd Rock

This is the last shot of the day.  So moving….Taylor lost a friend and classmate years ago.  He is wearing his friend’s cap and a tshirt in memory of him.

Taylor, thank you for a wonderful session.  I had a lot of fun working with you, and you were a great sport for the afternoon.  I am impressed by your heart and kindness.  I know that God has great plans for you, because you know Him  and love Him.  Congratulations on your upcoming graduation.  I hope you enjoy your senior year.  Make it fun!
